DrSiti Nurzawani Rosli Research Officer Institute for Medical Research (IMR)

Dr. Siti Nur Zawani Rosli is a Research Officer at the Institute for Medical Research (IMR), National Institutes for Health (NIH), Malaysia, specializing in vector-borne diseases, biomedical research, immunology, molecular biology, and infectious diseases. She holds a Ph.D. from Hiroshima University, Japan, a Master’s in Science, and a Bachelor’s in Science (Hons.) from the University of Malaya. With extensive research experience, she has served as a Postdoctoral Researcher and Education & Research Staff at Hiroshima University before joining NIH. Her research portfolio includes multiple principal investigator (PI) and co-investigator roles in infectious disease studies, focusing on Leptospira, SARS-CoV-2, Rickettsia, and vaccine development. She has led projects on SARS-CoV-2 vaccine antigen discovery, Leptospira-host interaction studies, and machine learning-based leptospirosis diagnostics. Dr. Rosli has published numerous peer-reviewed articles and presented at international conferences. She is an active manuscript reviewer, lecturer, and consultant, contributing to vaccine development, molecular diagnostics, and disease pathogenesis research. She has received multiple awards, including Best Oral Presentation and Anugerah Perkhidmatan Cemerlang (APC) 2023. Her work significantly contributes to infectious disease research, public health, and vaccine innovation in Malaysia and beyond.
