Dr Hasmy had her early research in Cancer Biology and was involved in part of pioneering studies on estrogen receptor signaling in breast cancer, exploring novel therapeutic approaches such as transcriptional repressors where she co-authored papers in high-impact journals including Gene Therapy and British Journal of Cancer. At TIDRE her research involves studying immune profiling in infectious diseases and also is in charge of clinical trials in TIDREC Outpost in Kota Bharu and 3 Government Clinics in the Klang Valley.
