of Medical Microbiology, Universiti Malaya. Her research focuses on mosquito-borne and re-emerging
viruses such as dengue, chikungunya, and SARS-CoV-2. She is actively involved in antiviral screening,
host–pathogen interaction studies, and vaccine-related research, particularly in the context of
population-specific immune responses. Dr. Rafidah has led and collaborated on several international
and nationally funded research projects and has published in peer-reviewed journals. Her work bridges
basic virology and translational applications, including the use of pseudovirus and replicon systems for
antiviral and vaccine development. In addition to research, she actively contributes to science outreach
and health literacy programs, particularly in schools and community settings. Her commitment to
linking science with public health impact reflects her broader goal of strengthening sustainable health
