Dr. Lee Hai Yen (Natasha) is a Senior Lecturer at the Tropical Infectious Disease Research and Education Centre (TIDREC), Universiti Malaya, Malaysia. She holds a PhD in Food Safety (Microbiology) and a Diploma in Vaccinology from Institut Pasteur, Paris. Dr. Lee’s research focuses on vaccine development, particularly mRNA vaccines for neglected tropical diseases, natural antimicrobial, and infectious disease control. She has authored over 70 peer-reviewed publications and led multiple national and international research projects in vaccine technology and infectious disease prevention. Dr. Lee actively collaborates with academic, industry, and government partners to advance vaccine innovation and biomanufacturing capabilities in Malaysia. Her expertise includes vaccine platform development, regulatory affairs, and translational research, aiming to contribute to pandemic preparedness and vaccine security
