Ernieenor Faraliana served as Research Officer at the Acarology Unit, Institute for Medical Research, where she has been since 2007. She earned his Bachelor of Science (Biotechnology) at the University Putra Malaysia in 2005, and her MSc in Genetics from University Kebangsaan Malaysia, Bangi in 2015. Her interests are focused on the phylogenetic study of acari especially ticks. Her MSc dissertation work involved blood meal identification and species identification of ticks using molecular approach. In 2017, she was attended one-month training on “Identification and phylogenetic study of medically important ticks using mitochondrial and nuclear genome analysis” at Yamaguchi University Japan. Her various research activities include facilitator for the Diploma of Applied Parasitology & Entomology (DAP&E) Acarology Module, subject matter expert on consultation of ticks infestation, and manuscript reviewer for scientific article. To date, she published at least 12 research paper related to genotypic identification of hard ticks using COI and 16S rDNA molecular marker.
