Carlo is a trained Physician who worked in general medicine and infectious disease departments in Germany (Waldshut hospital) and Switzerland (Bern University Hospital). Following a move to Thailand, he completed a Master Degree in Clinical Tropical Medicine at Mahidol University and started working at the Mahidol Oxford Tropical Medicine Research Unit (MORU) in 2020 as head of the Chiang Rai Clinical Research Unit in Northern Thailand.
