I am an infectious diseases epidemiologist with focus on scrub typhus and other rickettsial infections. I was trained as a doctor in Germany, before moving to the UK to work at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine. Since 2014 I am based at CMC vellore in India to conduct epidemiological studies on scrub typhus and spotted fever.
